Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.

For nearly 35 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) has been creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children worldwide. RMHC is making a global impact on the most pressing problems facing families today. Our approach is to think globally, but act locally by tailoring our programs to address the most pressing need of each community we serve.

 

 

 Landwirth enlisted the support of colleagues in the hospitality industry, including our world-famous theme parks, to assist him in bringing these special families to Central Florida within 24 hours if need be. He called the project “Give Kids The World,” because that is just what he intended to do - provide memorable, magical, cost-free experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

 The Russell Home for Atypical Children in South Orlando has been in continuous operation for over 50 years without any government support. The Russell Home is the only private, non-profit facility of its kind for severely handicapped children in Central Florida.
